Weekly Music Testing
Our Weekly Music Research delivers quality data to help guide your decisions on which new and current songs are resonating with your listeners and potential fans.
We conduct these surveys online. Once a person is determined to fit the screen and is eager to give their opinion on songs, we send a link for them to participate in the survey at their convenience within the next 48 hours.
We conduct the surveys with the powerful online software, Engagement 360™ (“E360”). The E360 software is easy for the respondent to navigate on any device they wish to use. E360 has built safeguards in the system to deliver quality results you can trust:
- Each respondent will hear at least 4 seconds of each hook before they vote.
- Once a vote is placed, the system automatically takes them to the next hook.
- Each respondent has to vote on all the songs in the list. That way, you get a full sample for each song – not a partial sample with a different number of respondents throughout the test.
- Only one survey can be completed from an IP address.
- Each wave of testing can include up to 30 songs and 5 perceptual questions so we don’t risk causing ‘respondent fatigue.’
The research results are always accessible online through your own Engagement 360 account. We can also deliver the data in Excel or Strategic Solutions Analyst, and our staff is always available to help. We customize our report for each client based on the breakouts that are most important to analyze for their music strategy.
We deliver full sample results within 7 days of initiation of each wave of callout. Before we begin the first report, we set up an agreed upon schedule that starts with which day of the week the client wants to receive the report. We then work up a schedule to indicate which day of the week the hooks are due.
